Bale opener - Hopper feeder

Bale opener - Hopper feeder The Bale opener - Hopper feeder is used for preopening of fibre bales as well as uniform feeding of following machinery. It is mostly used in fibre blending plants, but also in dye houses and wool scouring lines. It can be used for natural and man made fibres.

The Bale breaker - Hopper feeder is equipped with a vertical, - slightly inclined -, spiked lattice and two opening rollers. The speed of the lattice is infinitely variable. The gap between both opening rollers and the spiked apron is also adjustable.

The machine is fed by an small feed table , but it can be optional equipped with an extended feed table in front of the machine to relieve the personell.

Fibre bales are transported by the feed table towards the spiked lattice. The fibre material gets a first opening, and is being taken upwards to the front opening roller. The surplus of fibre material that cannot pass the gap between front opening roller and lattice is beeing slipped off and thrown back onto the feed table where it will be transported towards the lattice again.

At the downwards movement of the spiked apron in the backpart of the machine, the opened fibre material is stripped off by the second opening roller into a suction funnel. The fibre material can be transported by fan to the following working stage.
